How to use it

Upload one or more PNG files via drag & drop, clipboard paste, or the file browser. Because JPG cannot store transparency, the tool automatically paints any transparent regions on top of a solid white background before encoding — this prevents black or unpredictable artifacts.

Use the quality slider to balance visual fidelity against file size. Around 82–0% quality is a safe default for photographs; drop lower for thumbnails or higher for print-adjacent work. The output filename inherits the original name but with a .jpg extension.

When PNG is still the better choice

Do not convert screenshots that contain crisp text, wireframes with hard edges, or logos with flat colors — JPG will introduce visible ringing artifacts around those edges. Keep those as PNG or convert to WebP/AVIF instead.
